o the common clients like daniel barker, michael lee, uncle tham, richard tan, alfred lee& wife, robert, uncle lin, edwin chan , mr. hitoshi and many more familiar faces but i-dont-know-their-names literally brighten up my inner soul last night. (p.s. i know this sound so chim and too literature kind but if you get what i mean that you’re able to get what i meant) and yes i’ love conversing with them. so much so that i get to learn about their lives as well and their job scope. mind you, these people here are freaking rich but yet humble, polite and friendly. and of course, its my pleasure to meet them and interact with them.
any idea what their jobs are? well, we have a client who works as a advertising director. we also have a client who is an entrepreneur of a telecomm business, we also have investors hanging around and also property agents. awesome right?! i know. dont tell me about it please! definitely, i have learnt alot of life skills and virtues from some of them over at the bar counter and in the lounge last night.
alright enough about them, lets divert topic - on the art of cocktails.
Singapore Sling, Grasshopper, Pink Lady, Margarita, Screwdriver, Duiquiri, Long Island Tea, Blue Lagoonare some of the common drinks that i’ve known. but there’s still so much cocktails that i’ve yet to master and learn. but one thing’s for sure, i’m gonna master and acquire the skills from Shi-fu,Helen who has almost close to 20 years of experience in the bar and hotel industry. She’s more than willing to impart all her chuan-sou (skills and recipes) to me so long as I’m willing to learn and never give up on myself.
though theres alot to remember on the alcohol mixes and concoction, but still, i’ll crack my brain down for this no matter what. and i swear i fucking love my job badly! entertaining clients and guest in the bar is so awesome i swear. it allows me to grow from my innerself and literally transform me to be an extrovert person. and that is what i need to become in order to survive in this leisure and resort industry.
one word for everything in my life-
AWESOME!
there’s nothing more that i can ask from my job. i’m very contented and grateful working in crooked stick. my colleagues, working environment and clients are the elements that motivate and inspire me to do better in life.
